Classic Weekend Bicycle Getaway

Tour Information

Spend the entire weekend in Wine Country and enjoy two of our Sip ‘N Cycle tours! This trip is perfect for those needing a short trip away, a romantic retreat, or a weekend with friends to catch up!

Day 1 – Friday (Meet and Greet)

Check in directly to the Lodge at Calistoga anytime after 3 pm. You can opt for a bike fitting, safety demonstration and self-guided 8 mile warm-up ride if you arrive early. You can also choose to stroll through downtown Calistoga, known as the “Hot Springs of the West,” before dinner.

Your lodging for the next two nights will be: The Lodge at Calistoga.

Dinner reservations will be made by Getaway Adventures between 6 pm and 8 pm. They will be at a great local restaurant, such as the Calistoga Inn Restaurant & Brewery, Brannan’s Grill, or Jole.

Day 2 – Saturday (Calistoga Sip ‘N Cycle Tour)

We cycle the Calistoga area, covering about 15 miles of easy and flat terrain, visiting our favorite wineries, such as Frank Family, Summers, and Lava Vine. We highlight small, family-owned wineries where you will experience an intimate and educational wine tasting.

Our experienced guides will prepare a delicious Wine Country picnic lunch. You’ll have time to enjoy your lunch outdoors at one of the local wineries.

Today’s tour will end at about 3:00pm to allow time for optional spa treatments.

If you opt for no spa treatment, feel free to relax at the pool or peruse the shops downtown. Dinner will once again be in Calistoga at a wonderful local restaurant.

Day 3 – Sunday (Healdsburg Sip ‘N Cycle Tour)

You drive to Healdsburg and meet us downtown, where we embark on a wonderful 20-mile ride through the Dry Creek. Quiet, peaceful, and virtually traffic-free; this enchanting loop takes us by wineries such as Lambert Bridge, Quivira, Bella, and Preston. Our Wine Country picnic lunch is served under shady trees at one of our winery stops.

After the tour we say our farewells and thank you for choosing Getaway Adventures!
