Healdsburg Farm Fresh Tour

Tour Information

Do you love farm fresh goodies? Well, Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley offers some of the best produce, fruit and wine anywhere on the planet.

Besides an amazing climate and great soil, creative local artisan producers have come up with some wild and wonderful organic and sustainable farming methods. Our goal is to take you behind the scenes to see the intersection of wine and food, and how they influence each other; we also want to give you a fun and relaxed bike ride in arguably the most beautiful biking area on earth! Led by the best bike guides in the business, we’ll visit wineries with on-site gardens, local produce specialists (depending on the season), olive oil producers, and more.

We meet everyone in Healdsburg at 10:00 am. Once fitted and ready to ride we cycle the short distance to our first stop.

One stop during the day will be Quivira Vineyards, one of the most intriguing organic and sustainable wineries in the valley. We’ll visit their seasonal vegetable gardens and then we’ll check out their quirky chicken coop with colorful and exotic chickens. Quivira is also known for their balanced care of the environment, and they give back in many ways, from restoring creeks to creating pools for spawning fish.

We will also visit Preston Winery, known for the produce and fresh-baked bread sold in the tasting room, along with their unique Rhone-style wines.

Another great stop is the Dry Creek Olive Company (Wed-Sun), where we taste fresh, local olive oil. We get an insider’s look at producing local olive oil and may even taste one of Sonoma County’s favorite wines at one of the many tasting rooms next to Dry Creek Olive Company.

Depending on season and availability, other possible stops include a local garlic grower, a small fruit stand, or a well-known local farm specializing in heirloom vegetables.
