Tour Information
We check you in at 10:00 am across the street from the Jenner Inn. This gives you ample time to finish your delicious breakfast at your hotel or make the drive up from virtually anywhere in the Northern California region.
Once in Jenner, you’ll be fitted with PFD’s and listen to brief safety and paddling instructions.
We paddle off at about 10:30 am, with your guides showing you the sights and explaining some of the flora, wildlife and history. The surrounding scenery of rolling hills and pastures sets quite a scene as we kayak along the shore of this peaceful river heading towards a known Osprey nesting area. From a safe distance we can watch any activity. On the way back, and if nature allows, we’ll be able to spot elusive Snowy Egrets and Blue Heron and most likely, Harbor Seals.
Once back into the Jenner area, we’ll make a stop at Goat Rock Beach. This is a great spot for us to enjoy our gourmet picnic lunch. A typical menu might include pesto pasta salad, local organic salad greens, fresh baked bread, exotic cheeses, seasonal fruit, and dessert.
After lunch we’ll paddle out to the mouth of the Russian River and see the seals and occasional sea lions that lounge on the beach. We end at around 2:30 pm and return to our initial launch spot at Jenner.
