Exclusively for Brannan Cottage Inn guests, Getaway Adventures has created an easygoing excursion to steep you in local history while sampling wines at fascinating spots. Your friendly guide on this relaxed private bike tour will introduce you to Calistoga founder Sam Brannan with the story behind our 1862 landmark resort cottage. You’ll pedal down country roads to tastings at a legendary winery that put Calistoga on the world wine map, and a high-end tasting room with a Bonnie & Clyde vibe. At the Sharpsteen Museum, you’ll see a diorama of Brannan’s grand hot springs resort, Wappo Indian baskets and tour another Brannan resort cottage decked out in authentic Victorian style. After lunch, you’ll explore two other quirky points of interest, each with a story to tell. 6 mile tour on flat terrain; ideal for first-time visitors to the region.
